Tamara (Spatial Wall to Ceiling Edition) | Textile, Paper Clay, Hand-formed Steel, Metal Mesh
Size on wall : H 60 x W 36 x D 15 inches | Size on ceiling : H 26 x W 60 x D 48 inches
Tamara imagines a luminous lily pond suspended in air, inviting the viewer into its shifting field of forms. Moving from the wall at eye level and flowing across the ceiling, lotus-like blooms unfold around softly illuminated centres while small flying fish introduce a sense of movement and play. Textile stretched over handformed steel armatures is layered with metal mesh and custom paper clay. These surfaces hold and diffuse light, creating a floating landscape that explores fragility, presence, and the shifting relationship between structure and atmosphere.
This elegant mixed-media light installation draws inspiration from the serene beauty of blooming lotus flowers, transforming a wall into a radiant, sculptural landscape. Composed of multiple illuminated floral forms, the artwork combines handcrafted translucent petals, textured glass-like elements, and intricate metal accents to create a layered, immersive composition.
Each lotus form emits a soft, ambient glow, diffusing light through delicately patterned surfaces that enhance the sense of depth and tranquility. The inclusion of organic metal motifs—resembling leaves, lily pads, and small aquatic creatures — adds a dynamic, nature-inspired narrative to the piece. Suspended and wall-mounted elements interact seamlessly, creating a vertical flow that guides the eye upward and enriches spatial perception.
Finished in a palette of soft whites, warm golds, and subtle metallic tones, the installation exudes sophistication while maintaining a calming presence. Ideal for feature walls, luxury interiors, hospitality spaces, or gallery environments, this artwork functions both as an atmospheric lighting solution and a statement sculptural installation.
